What can I send you to start a CAD project?

You can send a sketch, photos, measurements, an existing component, scan data, Revit file, STL, STEP or an incomplete model. Tell us what the finished design must achieve and we will advise what else is needed.

Can you design a part from an idea or rough sketch?

Yes. We can develop a concept into controlled 3D geometry, provided the requirements, interfaces and intended use can be defined clearly enough.

Can you recreate a component when no drawing exists?

Yes. The part can be measured or 3D scanned and rebuilt as editable CAD. Wear, damage and manufacturing changes are considered during the reconstruction.

Can you prepare Revit files for 3D printing?

Yes. We regularly support architecture students and practices by repairing, simplifying or recreating Revit geometry, then scaling it for a clean physical model.

Which CAD file formats can you deliver?

Delivery can include STEP or STP, STL, DXF, drawings and other agreed formats. The right output depends on whether the next step is 3D printing, machining, laser cutting, fabrication or design review.

Do you design for 3D printing and other manufacturing processes?

Yes. We consider the chosen process, material, tolerances, wall thickness, assembly, supports, draft and other manufacturing constraints as part of the design.

Will I own the final CAD files?

File ownership and the agreed deliverables are confirmed in the quotation. If confidentiality is important, tell us before sharing sensitive information so the project can be handled appropriately.

Do you provide CAD services throughout South Africa?

Yes. Most design projects can be managed remotely. Physical parts can be couriered to our Umhlanga team when measurement or scanning is required.
