Warranty & product support
Clear support for products, repairs and custom services, with your statutory rights preserved.
Last updated: 17 August 2026
This policy explains the support available for products and services supplied by Create It 3D (Pty) Ltd. It must be read with our Returns & Refund Policy and does not limit any non-waivable right under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) or other applicable South African law.
1. Product quality and the six-month statutory warranty
Products must be reasonably suitable for their intended purpose, of good quality, in good working order, free of defects and durable for a reasonable period, taking account of the nature and normal use of the product.
If a product fails to meet the CPA standards within six months after delivery, you may return it without penalty and at our risk and expense. Subject to the CPA, you may choose a repair, replacement or refund. We may first inspect or test the product so that we can verify the reported fault, but that assessment will not remove your statutory choice where the CPA applies.
2. Repairs and replacement parts
New or reconditioned parts installed during a repair, and the labour used to install them, carry the statutory three-month warranty or any longer period stated in writing. If a defect repaired under the six-month warranty is not remedied, or a further failure occurs within three months after that repair, the CPA remedy of replacement or refund will apply where required by law.
3. Manufacturer warranties
Some printers, scanners, laser equipment, CNC machines and accessories include an additional manufacturer or distributor warranty. Its period, coverage and process can differ by brand and product. Any manufacturer warranty applies in addition to, and does not replace, your CPA rights.
We will help coordinate a valid manufacturer claim. The manufacturer or authorised distributor may require serial numbers, diagnostic files, photographs, video, remote troubleshooting or return of the affected item before approving parts or replacement.
4. What is normally not a manufacturing defect
Subject to applicable law, warranty cover does not usually extend to ordinary wear, consumables, accidental or liquid damage, neglect, unauthorised modification, incorrect assembly, unsuitable power supply, use contrary to the manual, or damage caused by incompatible materials or accessories. We will assess the actual cause before making a decision and will explain any declined claim.
5. Custom manufacturing and service workmanship
Our 3D printing, scanning, CAD, reverse-engineering, laser, CNC and fabrication services must be performed and completed timeously and to the quality people are generally entitled to expect. If our service does not meet the CPA standard, we will remedy the defect or refund a reasonable portion of the price where the law requires it.
Approved prototypes, supplied specifications and the inherent limits of a selected material or manufacturing process remain relevant to assessing whether work is defective. We will flag material risks and assumptions during quoting wherever reasonably possible.
6. How to request support
- Email sales@createit3d.co.za with the order or invoice number.
- Describe the fault and when it started, and attach clear photographs or video where helpful.
- Keep the product, accessories and serial-number labels available for assessment.
- Do not send equipment back until we confirm the return address and method.
We will acknowledge the request, advise the next diagnostic step and, where a return is needed, explain who bears the collection or delivery cost under the applicable law and warranty.
