From brief to delivery

How Our 3D Printing, Scanning and Engineering Services Work

One accountable workflow for turning a file, physical part, sketch or product idea into an approved result. You do not need to know the technical route before you contact us.

  • Engineering-led scoping
  • Written approval before production
  • Nationwide project support

Start from where you are

What do you have right now?

You do not need to choose the technical route. Pick the starting point that best matches your project, and we will help define the next step.

The complete journey

Seven clear stages from enquiry to delivery

Every project moves through a defined sequence so the right information, approvals, payment terms and delivery expectations are recorded before work advances.

  1. 01

    You submit

    Send the project brief

Use the guided quotation form to share the file, photos or sketch, approximate size, intended use, quantity, finish, deadline and delivery location. Select every service that forms part of the job.

  2. 02

    We review

    Review and clarification

We check whether the information is sufficient to quote accurately. If something important is missing, we request the specific file, measurement, photo or decision required.

  3. 03

    We define

    Scope and written quotation

We define the deliverables, material or process, quantity, assumptions, exclusions, validity and delivery route. Where genuine specialist confirmation is required, we identify that step instead of leaving the enquiry without a next action.

  4. 04

    You approve

    Approval and payment

You approve the written scope and payment terms. Most work begins after full payment. Larger projects may use an agreed 50% deposit. Production does not start until the required payment is received.

  5. 05

    We build

    Design, prototype or manufacture

The job follows the approved route. Projects involving design, scanning or product development may include staged reviews before the final manufacture or production batch.

  6. 06

    We verify

    Quality check and final balance

We check the agreed deliverables, visible finish and practical requirements appropriate to the job. Any approved outstanding balance is due before collection or dispatch.

  7. 07

    Delivered

    Dispatch and after-sales support

We confirm collection or courier dispatch and provide tracking where available. If you have a query after delivery, reply with the project reference and clear details so the correct team can assess it.

Clear commercial control

What the quotation means

Your written quotation defines the result, assumptions and payment route before production starts.

Approved scope

The quote covers the stated files, quantities, materials, finish, deliverables and delivery assumptions.

Change control

New requirements, design revisions or information discovered during development are discussed and priced before extra work continues.

Payment and dispatch

Most work starts after full payment. Larger approved projects may use a 50% deposit, with the balance due before dispatch.

Accurate pricing

What affects your quotation

A reliable quote considers the complete job instead of applying one rate to every type of project.

Design and file readiness

Print-ready CAD is different from new design, scan cleanup, reverse engineering or repairing a damaged model.

Geometry, size and material

Part dimensions, wall thickness, support, strength, temperature, flexibility and surface requirements affect the route.

Quantity and setup

A sample, one-off component and repeat batch carry different setup, testing and production assumptions.

Tolerance and finish

Fit, accuracy, sanding, painting, resin coating, assembly and inspection must be defined where required.

Bought-in components

Electronics, NFC tags, fasteners, packaging, inserts and other components are costed separately when needed.

Deadline and delivery

Urgency, design approvals, production capacity, parcel size, destination and courier handling affect timing and cost.

Connected capability

Choose the service route

A project can use one service or move through several connected services under one brief.

Before you begin

Common project questions

These answers explain the points that most often affect scoping, pricing and timing.

Can you quote from a photo?

A clear photo can start the assessment, but accurate manufacturing normally also needs dimensions, a physical sample, scanning or CAD work. Include several angles and a ruler or known-size object for scale.

What if I do not have a CAD file?

You can start with a sketch, measurements, reference product or physical part. We can assess CAD design, 3D scanning or reverse engineering before manufacturing.

How long does a quotation take?

Complete print-ready enquiries can usually be assessed faster than projects requiring design, testing or clarification. After review, we confirm the next action and request only the information needed to complete the scope.

Can the price change after approval?

The approved quotation covers its written scope and assumptions. If you request a change, new information is discovered, or a prototype requires a revised route, we explain the effect and obtain approval before additional work continues.

Do you require full payment?

Most products and service jobs require full payment before work starts. Larger approved projects may use a 50% deposit, with the balance payable before dispatch.

Do you support customers throughout South Africa?

Yes. We review projects nationwide and can coordinate suitable parts, samples and finished work by courier. Delivery assumptions are confirmed in the quotation.
