Shipping policy

Effective date: 17 August 2026

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Create It 3D (Pty) Ltd processes and delivers physical product orders. Timelines for 3D printing, scanning, CAD, reverse-engineering, laser, CNC and other custom services are confirmed in the applicable quotation or project agreement.

1. Delivery coverage

Our online checkout supports delivery addresses within South Africa. Delivery to Namibia or another cross-border destination is not automatic and must be confirmed and quoted in writing before payment. Cross-border orders may involve different courier charges, customs procedures, duties, taxes, lead times and product-support arrangements.

Products are sold online. Our operating studio at 2 Ncondo Place, Ridgeside Dr, Umhlanga Ridge, Durban is not a walk-in retail shop; consultations or collections are available only when arranged and confirmed in advance.

2. Processing and availability

We normally begin processing an order after payment is confirmed. Standard in-stock or supplier-available orders are usually processed within one to two business days, but availability may change between the time an enquiry is made and an order is confirmed.

Unless we agree a different period with you, we will execute an electronic order within 30 days as required by ECTA. If goods are unavailable, we will notify you and refund amounts paid within 30 days where section 46 of ECTA applies.

3. Estimated delivery times

After dispatch, typical estimates within South Africa are:

  • major cities: one to three business days;
  • regional areas: three to five business days; and
  • outlying or remote areas: four to seven business days.

These are estimates, not guaranteed dates. The product page, quotation, order confirmation or written supplier update may state a different lead time. We will communicate a material delay as soon as reasonably practicable.

4. Delivery charges

Orders of R1,500 or more qualify for free standard delivery within South Africa unless the item is excluded because it is oversized, heavy, bulk, industrial, hazardous, unusually remote or requires specialist freight. Orders below the threshold are charged the delivery amount shown at checkout.

Large-format printers, CNC equipment, laser machines, bulk materials and other freight items may require a separate delivery quotation. We will confirm any additional freight charge before dispatch.

5. Courier selection and tracking

We use third-party courier and freight providers selected according to parcel size, destination, urgency and service availability. Once a trackable shipment is booked, tracking details will be sent by email or added to the order record. Tracking scans can take time to update after collection.

6. Address and delivery instructions

Please provide a complete physical address, correct postal code, reachable telephone number and any access instructions before dispatch. If you discover an error, contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after the courier booking has been issued.

Reasonable additional charges caused by an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery, refusal without a lawful reason, or a customer-requested re-routing may be charged where permitted by law.

7. Risk and acceptance of delivery

Goods remain at our risk until you, or a person you have authorised, accepts delivery, subject to the CPA. A courier's possession of the parcel does not by itself transfer risk to you.

Inspect the outer packaging and items as soon as reasonably possible. If there is visible damage, note it with the courier where possible, retain the packaging and contact us promptly with photographs. Reporting visible damage ideally within 48 hours helps preserve evidence, but a later report does not automatically remove a right provided by law.

8. Delays and events outside reasonable control

Weather, road closures, public holidays, peak volumes, load constraints, civil disruption, supplier delays or other events outside reasonable control can affect delivery. We are not responsible for a delay to the extent the law permits, but we remain responsible for the statutory duties that cannot be excluded and will work with the courier or supplier to resolve the problem.

9. Split shipments and supplier dispatch

An order containing products from different suppliers or locations may arrive in more than one parcel. Some products may be collected from a supplier and delivered directly to you. We remain your contracting supplier and point of contact for the order unless we clearly state otherwise.

10. Services and custom projects

Production and delivery dates for custom services depend on scope approval, receipt of usable files or samples, material availability, payment, client feedback and quality checks. The agreed quotation or written project update will state the applicable milestone or target date. If the scope changes, we will confirm any price or timeline change before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
