PLA is a widely used thermoplastic manufactured from renewable plant-based resources such as corn starch or sugarcane. It is popular in 3D printing because it extrudes smoothly, produces minimal odour and generally requires less heat than many engineering filaments.

The UV Neon formulation is designed to produce a bright fluorescent appearance that becomes more noticeable under suitable ultraviolet or blacklight illumination. The final visual effect depends on the lighting conditions, wall thickness, model geometry and surface finish.

Raw PLA may meet certain food-contact standards, but completed 3D prints should not automatically be considered food safe. Printer cleanliness, colour additives, nozzle material, layer lines and post-processing may affect suitability for food-contact use.
