The material responds well to post-processing techniques such as sanding, drilling and acetone vapour smoothing, making it ideal for professional prototypes and end-use parts.

ABS is a strong and rigid thermoplastic with higher temperature resistance than PLA materials. It maintains structural stability under mechanical stress and moderate heat exposure, making it suitable for engineering applications.

The material naturally shrinks while cooling, therefore a heated bed and stable ambient temperature are recommended to minimise warping. When printed correctly, parts exhibit excellent durability and long-term wear resistance.

ABS can be chemically smoothed using acetone vapour, allowing layer lines to be removed and producing injection-moulded-like surfaces.
