SA Filament Premium Glow-in-the-Dark PLA Filament 1.75mm 500g is a locally manufactured specialty material designed to produce detailed prints that remain visible after the lights go out. The filament contains glow-in-the-dark additives that absorb light and release it gradually in dark conditions, making it suitable for decorative models, signage, cosplay accessories, safety markers and creative display pieces.

The Premium GITD range is available in Blue Glow-in-the-Dark and Green Glow-in-the-Dark colour options. The strength and duration of the glow depend on the amount of light absorbed, the thickness of the printed walls and the surrounding lighting conditions. Exposure to bright natural light or UV light before use generally produces the most noticeable effect.

Its PLA-based formulation provides smooth extrusion, low warping and reliable layer adhesion on compatible FDM and FFF 3D printers. The filament is manufactured to a consistent 1.75mm diameter with a tolerance of ±0.03mm, helping reduce extrusion inconsistencies and improve dimensional accuracy.

Glow-in-the-dark additives can be abrasive, so a hardened steel or plated brass nozzle is recommended for extended use. A nozzle diameter of 0.4mm or larger is advised to support dependable material flow and reduce the chance of clogging.
