Can PLA be used outdoors?

PLA is generally unsuitable for outdoor use because it has poor heat resistance and low UV stability. Exposure to direct sunlight often causes it to warp, sag, or become brittle over time. While it may work for short-term, shaded applications, for permanent outdoor projects, it is highly recommended to use PETG for general durability or ASA for superior, long-term UV and heat resistance.
